An interesting and ongoing dispute to watch involves a Canadian mining company New Gold Inc., who operate the Cerro San Pedro mine in San Luis Potosi state in central Mexico, who have been trying to counter negative NGO environmental claims from NGO's like FAO in Mexico and MiningWatch Canada and the PROFEPA order to suspend mining activity from The Federal Court of Fiscal and Administrative Justice's ruling to SEMARNAT to nullify the Environmental Impact Statement EIS of New Gold's subsidiary Minera San Xavier MSX.
